Meet Julie

As an Associate Social Worker working with adolescents and young adults, I know that each person has the potential to achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life, and I am committed to helping them discover their unique strengths and build on them. Whether my clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, body image, eating disorders, or relationship problems, I will work with them to develop practical strategies for coping and thriving.

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a deep respect for the experiences of my clients. Adolescence and young adulthood are critical times in a person’s life and with the right support and guidance, my clients can develop the skills and resilience they need to thrive. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care, which allows me to provide effective and evidence-based treatment to my clients. I will work collaboratively with my clients to identify negative thought patterns and behaviors that are holding them back and to develop practical strategies for changing them.

Education and Experience

Prior to entering the field of social work, I obtained a Master of Arts degree specializing in Communications from the University of Southern California. While working as a Senior Manager of Public Relations and Social Media for Warner Bros. Entertainment, I felt compelled to make a career change to pursue my ultimate dream of providing psychotherapy to people in need. I graduated with honors from the Master of Social Work program at the University of Denver. While studying, I gained experience working in California’s foster care setting, where I was able to see firsthand the unique challenges being faced by children and teens in the system. I learned how to build strong relationships and navigate complex and often challenging family dynamics. This experience taught me how to provide a safe and supportive environment for victims of trauma and abuse.
